I feel for you. Sorry about your loss, but glad you were able to walk away.

A testament to the G's crash worthiness ... I walked away from a rear ender that totaled my G too. But the guy I got rammed into (Honda Accord) was treated for whiplash.

I also ironically looked at Audi's for a replacement but ultimately decided against one. Best of luck to you though in what ever you choose.

So if you don't mind me asking, what did you choose to replace your G?

German vs. Japanese

All cars have some quirks but in my experience the German cars require more maintenance than the Japanese cars........sweeping generalization but that has been my personal experience. I traded my 525 in on my G37x. I got tired of emptying my wallet at the stealership for service. The icing on the cake was when I was told by the BMW service writer that my BMW was a performance sedan and the parts were not designed to last like the Japanese cars.......off to Infiniti I went.

I think the OP should buy my car!!

I went with a Lexus. Needed a daily driver right away and couldn't wait for Q50 or next gen M. I needed reliability because I tend to keep my cars for 10+ years (unless they get totaled by an idiot).

The current M is already behind in technology and Audi seemed kinda old school in the exterior design department to me.

Yes ... I have springs and other goodies on the way.

Sorry about your loss.
When the time comes to replace my G I would go with Terrycs choice. Lexus.
I had a 2nd gen IS and the cabin size was small. Heard it is bigger now with the new release. If still not roomy enough for me, GS.

As long as your ok, at least they aren't trying to fix it.
Nothing is worse than having a car after its hit, never the same.
Good luck with the replacement, sorry for your troubles.

BTW, this is what happened to the minivan that hit me. I bet this one is totaled too, considering that this is a 2000 Honda Odyssey.

This guy's on the Honda Odyssee forum wondering if he should pony up for a 2013 or wait until the super deluxe Odyssee w/ advanced distraction avoidance technology is available.

I would not be surprised, since there is apparently an Aztec fan club too: Aztek Fan Club

Not that there is anything wrong with that. I support diversity.

was going to say this, my old 08 coupe got hit and looked twice as bad and justt got totaled I was told.

BTW, op, what car you get depends on what you want it for.. a 335 like others said is probably one of the most UN-reliable newer cars you can possibly get.. They are JUNK! Fuel pump issues, turbo issues, random limp mode issues, ext... S4 is nice, but Audi have alot of problems as well... A non turbo e90 or 360 bmw is a nice choice as they are very reliable, but having come from owning half a dozen of them the G imo is superior in almost every way.. They have way more power, way more standard options, way less maintenance and cost of ownership among other things.

Ouch! this looks bad. My front end damage was not as bad, yet they totaled it.
