Now you could go and buy a plastic or carbon fiber diffuser and mount it, but that can be expensive, and visually busy, IMO. However, on a glossy black car, imagine how nice that area would look if it were simply vinyl-wrapped in flat black, for a subtle contrast.

Just a thought. And one that can set your car apart from every other G37 in your area, without being obnoxious.
I remember somebody trying that on a sedan. It was unprepossessing to say the least. I agree, though, the diffuser is a bit busy, but it's still the best option for the rear. The main reason I say this is most installers will not have the skill to get it to look like its intended to be there from the factory. Rough edges, and symmetrical sides would be my main concerns.

I admit it sounds good at first, much like Taco Bell, but ultimately is a bad decision just like the late night tacos.

You can just get the precut vinyl kit from Bluebatmobile and have it installed. No need to worry about rough edges or non symmetrical sides.

I did not know he made one. So I retract my last comment knowing that there is a perfectly cut piece of vinyl. I would only use his kit, though, as Ive seen tons of great pics of his work.

Yes, Bluebat... that's a good DIY route. I was originally going to go with Bluebat, but there turned out to be a local vinyl decal shop not 2 miles from my house. Sadly, they butchered the edges, and I had to go to a Tint shop for corrections.

blah blah blah, regrets and lessons learned. The important thing I learned was that I really like the look, and would like to have it painted next time around, rather than wrapped. Or perhaps someone will come up with a diffuser that I actually like, and go that route.

To the OP's car, I really do think flat-black (charcoal) would look great against his glossy black G.

I'll look into it. I'm trying to research and learn as much about this car and the mods as I can.

I switched out the clutch spring that I got from Jsolo. The install kind of sucked b/c I didn't really know what I was doing but it's done. Took a quick test drive. Feels better, alot more difinitive.
