Footwell a/c heater works horrible

Hello. I live in Northern California and it gets pretty cold around here. Every morning, I get in my car and turn on the heat to try to warm my feet up but the site gets nowhere near them. it doesn't even blow on my legs. Is this just a horrible design or is my car not working properly? My BMW that I just got rid of never had this issue.

I live in Florida, so I don't experience much cold weather, but I have used the heater and I do get hot air in the foot well. I would bring the car in to your dealer and explain the problem, as I think it's your particular car rather than an Infiniti problem. You may have a vent that is closed.

The temperature in the northeast has been frigid...the hvac system is working great in my 2011. Feet get a lot of warm air.

My heat almost works too well. I'm assuming you have the mode set to include the foot vents. If you get good heat from dash vents, you may have a bad mode door actuator.

^actuator / blend door would be my guess. This occurs on Jeeps frequently.

I've noticed on my G that it takes a few minutes to warm up and that it wont blow any air until it heats up. Otherwise it works really well.

it must be my car because after a 25 minute drive to work, my toes are still frozen.

You're complaint is no heat from the foot vents, so I'm assuming there is at least some heat in the car, it's just not being directed how you want. Once the car is warmed up, check the foot vents on the passenger side. If you get warm air from there, your driver's side blend door actuator is probably bad. If that's cold too but dash vents and defrost or warm, it's probably the mode door actuator.

I have the exact same issue with my '12xS sedan. The heat seems to only reach my right foot when its on the accelerator. The moment I move my foot to depress the brake I can't feel it at all anymore and this is when its on the max fan speed.
