Manufactured Date

It says on the inner door that my car was manufactured in 2010 yet it is a 2011. Is this normal or did I get a year old car lol

um...you do know that cars come out the year before their listed model years, right?

There's 2013 cars out all over the place right now, including Infinitis.

The door sticker on my 2011 G37 sedan says 12/2010. New model years would have to start manufacture in the previous year or they would not get to the dealers in time to sell in that year. It takes time to get from Japan to the US by ship.

Most Infiniti models, including G37, are, but I am sure JX is built in Tennessee.

The country of origin is Japan. Final assembly is in the US.

To clarify a few things

1) All Infiniti Models are built in the Tochigi plant in Japan except the Infiniti JX which is built in Smyrna, TN due to it's platform (Front Engine - Front wheel drive/bias)

2) Just because a model is of year X doesn't mean it was produced in the same year. In the Middle East for instance, all of the 2013 models started production in 2012. The 2013 JX for example started production earlier this summer (May/June). Last week, both the 2013 G37 & M56 Sedans arrived.

This should give you a clue...100% of the parts are made outside of the USA according to ABC News

Our G37's are built over in Japan. Your VIN number should start with a "J" (Japan).
