I was thinking of jumping on the group buy for the FI Resonated HFC, but before doing so wanted to see if anyone was currently running this set up. How much louder did the exhaust get with the RHFC? Any rasp or drone?

Currently running R2C intake with the Invidia Q300 and it's pretty quiet. Cruising normal, you'll only hear the exhaust around 2-3k rpm. On the highways you can barely hear it in the background.

Tried searching already to see if anyone has this setup with a sound clip. Only found one user and am waiting on his response. Thanks!

 

yeah i think someone has fast intentions test pipes and they sound better than mine!!! i have invidia test pipes. Check out my youtube videos.

 

I'm actually looking for anyone with the Resonated HFC instead of test pipes. Probably noob question but is the car throwing a CEL? Can you pass emissions with test pipe?

I've actually watched that video multiple times, just didn't realize it was you with the different user names!

Man the test pipe definitely changes the sound of the exhaust. Doesn't sound as deep? Did you get a tune with all your bolt on mods? If so, what were the gains? UpRev?

I have to pass emissions testing here in Texas. FI indicated that their RHFC wouldn't throw a code and I should be able to pass.

I've got the FI RHFC's and I'm not sure if I want to get the Invidia CBE. I leave for work every morning at around 5:45 and I don't want it to be too loud. My last car pissed off all of my buddies in the neighborhood because it was so loud.

 

Here are a couple of pics of my FI RHFC's with Invidia Q300 CBE. This setup is perfect for my needs. Just loud enough but not enough to wake the neighbors. Zero rasp and a little bump in power.

 

And no CEL with those j-shaped extensions to the O2 sensors... right?

FI makes quite a point in their marketing that you won't get a CEL because of this design. I wonder if anyone has experienced otherwise, regardless.

 

Do you have any sound clips of your G37's Invidia Q300 and the FI RHFC? I am curious how much louder your Q300 exhaust sounded before and after you added the FI RHFCs.
