Interior Noises!!! Reply with any solutions Please
I have a 2012 G37xS and the noises keep coming....it first started and continues to have a rattle in the rear deck (by the Bose sub grate) when hitting bumps in the road. It then has a squeak coming from the windshield again when hitting bumps in the road or when slamming the doors and is even more common when the cold weather is prevalent. It has a rattle coming from underneath the car when accelerating and sounds like it is from some sort of heat shield (I have not figured it out). And then last but not least when on the highways going at a decent speed it sounds like I either have an air leak coming from somewhere toward the back two doors (this is a sedan) or a very fast vibrating rattle from inside the interior somewhere. For a car with not even 7K on it I really don't understand how my Infiniti can have so many issues...Maybe its just a lemon but this is something that I would not expect from a $45,000 car...more expected from a Honda or something like that. Does anyone else have any similar issues with theirs AND has anyone found ANY SOLUTIONS to any of these things?.....Its a lease but unfortunately ill have to pay the expensive note on the car for quite some more time and probably have to deal with all these issues.
Did you purchase (or lease) this car new? Or is it a resale? If the latter, perhaps it had been in a collision of some sort. If you have warranty coverage, why don't you start with the dealer service dept.? Seems the logical thing to do rather than trying to figure this out on your own. My 2011 has 14k on the clock, and no rattles whatsoever.
I've heard many make some of the same complaints about rattles...I have the rattle in the rear deck and twice now they have not been able to fix it. I'll give them one more try and then I'll tackle it myself...then give them them the bill for my time. LOL
I have had most of these issues on my 2010 G37x. The subwoofer rattle can be fixed by removing the trunk liner below the third brake light and stuffing insulation around the brake light fixture through one of the little access holes. I fixed most of the noise out of the back window are by sealing the little fixed quarter window with a silicone sealant. Basically I caulked underneath the rubber window surround.....so the sealant is not visible. The dealer was useless.....and when my lease it up its highly unlikely another Infiniti product is in my future. I also have numerous little squeaks and rattles that come and go.
My car is 2010 and now it's 33k KM on the milage..
I have the rattle from the rear mirror which comes and goes from time to time, It disappears by just adjusting it or tilting it..
I also noticed the interior rattling sound starts when u play loud music that has base.. these vibrations from the sound causes the rattles of the interior material..
regards
