The actual car looks even better than the prints shown before. Really liking what they've done with it. Disappointed a bit with the engine choices but I'm sure there's more to come in the future. Now anxiously waiting to see what they do with the coupe. Guessing that's more likely where boost will be initially available if at all

I like the exterior styling, but the lack of MT and sport package (IPL) is a deal killer, BMW, here I come.

bulging headlight housing (similar to the Honda Accord a few years back), mini-M sedan, and no M/T = turn off.

The amount of new or significantly updated tech in this car is staggering. I'll probably never fully comprehend why people insist on comparing it to something completely different rather than to the car it's replacing. Many were pretty happy with the G37 sedan, some less so. Compared to the outgoing G37 sedan it's replacing, I can't see how it's not superior in every possible way. The fact that Infiniti is and always has tried to promoted itself as a luxury brand first and foremost is lost on most people on this forum. Moar turbos!

Not to mention that after watching the whole presentation on their website, I see performance enhancements galore that I guess aren't impressive to the people who wanted a bigger more powerful and torquey engine. To replace a power plant that's only 5 model years old. Some of the same ones that post "Why am I getting 15 MPG?" threads. I guess a number of people will be walking away from their current leases and paying $10K+ more for a couple of tenths in the 1/4 mile on a car that the vast majority of them will never in their lives take to a track.

For those who are ardent MT fans like me, it is definitely regrettable that they are discontinuing the MT on the sedan for now. But I'm pretty sure I know someone who will be selling a mint '09 6MT sedan to upgrade his wife to the new Q50 hybrid that she'll enjoy better with the 7AT anyway. The Q60 sill still have a stick, that's what I care about.

I already see 6 distinct areas of the car that I know will regrettably being slathered in PlastiDip in the very near future. Poor Q50...

While true, it's small consolation for people who really, really like sport sedans and need to put people in the back seat once in a while.

Make smaller friends? Have them drive their own car?

I understand. Fortunately I have a coupe and sedan in the family. Mama has a 6MT sedan and wants it to be an automatic every day so this is not a problem for us. Hybrid 3.5 here we come.

If they truly have abandoned the MT for all variants of the Q50 sedan, then its going to be a farewell to Infiniti from me. Although Infiniti is hinting at different powertrains being offered in the future, it seems they will not be paired with a 6MT.

Its unfortunate because I have been with Infiniti since 2004 and I was planning on sticking with the brand for years to come. Now I have to start brand new vehicle search for when my lease is up in December.

IMHO, Infiniti nailed it. I didn't like the initial pics, but the reveal of the actual car has changed my mind. They went after the 5 series and nailed it. Very aggressive and the interior is nicer than many german competitors.

I'm currious to see if the all wheel drive model will have the sport package or sport appearance package.

from what I've seen so far, I'm fairly unimpressed. I think the front end looks very Jaguar'ish. The rims are horrible...hopefully the Sport's are significantly better, and the 3.7 engine just gets blown away by the 3 Series in terms of performance for your gas mileage.
