G37 engine noise under hard acceleration

I started hearing this strange metallic clicking/clacking noise for about a month. The recording was taken with an iPhone about a foot away from the NAVI screen. It happens only under hard acceleration when RPM is over 5,000. It most often happens when accelerating with WOT from a speed of around 80km/h. My car is stock 2009 with 70,000km and I've been using premium gas. The car otherwise drives OK.

Anybody had similar problems?

Are you using a good quality synthetic? Conventional oil will shear down under extreme load leading to metal-to-metal contact. BTW, couldn't open the .zip file

I cannot seem to upload the ZIP file properly. The file is OK after WinZip compression. Upload seems OK too. But when I downloaded it and try to unzip it, WinZip says "File is corrupt". This seems to be a problem of the site.

A bit tricky to play the audio. Please use WinRAR to unzip. Then play it. Winzip does not work here.

The file is not a zip, it's actually an mp3.

Hard to tell what it is, almost sounds like a rattle.. Maybe heat shield rattle? If you have access to a lift, see if anything is loose. If not, jackstands/ramps and start tapping around.

no rattling is normal under any kind of acceleration. rattling is metal on metal without lubrication.
