Rattle from the underneath???

When cruising around with the windows down, does anyone else have a horrible rattle coming from underneath their car? Sounds like it could be something with my exhaust is loose. My car is a 12 G37XS in case that matters. Thanks

There's some heat shields around the cats and some more around the muffler area that some members have complained about rattling, not sure if you can tighten them though

Thanks, I will ask the dealer to see if there is something that they can do to "resolve" the issue.

is it over bumps, when accelerating hard, just normal cruising? I sometimes hear a sound when accelerating at times, but it sounds more like a slight "raspyness" than a rattle. I have a stock 2012 g37S

Can you hear it with windows up? I don't drive windows-down, I will pay some attention next time.

Ive heard a slight raspy vibration when I gun it. But only heard it a couple times though. Couldnt tell what it was either. I have a 12 G37xS and the car only has 400miles on it.

I hear a slight rattle from time to time when hitting certain bumps. Let us know what you find out.

I hear a rattling in mine usually when I first start the car up then it goes away... I think.

My 91 Z used to have an annoying rattling sound that you could easily hear while idling then as I drove, you'd be able to hear it every now and then. I figured it was the exhaust shield.

Same thing w/ me, and only @ start up, it's in the exact area of the muffler heat shields but I don't know how to get rid of it. I'm going to be painting my exhaust cans soon so when I get the exhaust off I'm going to investigate everything back there.

I too have this. Occurs under partial acceleration conditions, not much at WOT. One dealer couldn't "hear" it... second wanted to charge me for a diagnostic fee just to do a ride-along if they couldn't locate the sound! What's going on with customer service...

Will look up the TSBs.
