Trust me, when I heard red seats I had flashbacks to my dads '78 Impala station wagon where the seats were red....and every other interior panel (and the carpet!) were red too.

My wife had the same "blech" response. Then I saw the car in person.

Its very tastefully done, since only the seats are red. Very similar to options available in Audi and BMW. And the red they chose is perfect...its not a bright "look at me" red but its not a dark maroon that barely stands out.

Its amazing how many compliments Ive gotten when driving the car in a drive thru. EVERYONE loves the seats.

 

You are not the only one that has a 2011 LE malbec black with Monaco red leather in canada. My aunt has one that mu uncle imported. It is currently in storage and will be up for sale this summer. I believe it has aprox 15000kms on it.
