minor problem need help

Hi everyone,

Just a minor problem here on my 2010 G37x. I had the rear bumper completely repainted a few days ago, which looks great now. However, I tried to unscrew the rear license plate (to get rid of the dealer plate bracket), but I can't unscrew the left upper bolt; it could be stripped. I know there is a plastic bracket attached to the car behind the plate, which I don't want to damage, however I do want to get the plate off. Any suggestions? Thanks.

If the threads are stripped, you can try taking a small flat head screw driver and putting under the head of the screw. After that, GENTLY pry the head towards you WHILE you unscrew the screw.

Sometimes it works...sometimes it doesn't.
