I can't remember if I checked in or not. Anyway, 2013 6mt, black on black, 50k miles, duckfeet wheels.
edit: Just curious...last night I tried doing a stand still burnout and it just wouldn't do it. I turned off the traction control and even wet the tires and pavement with a water hose and still nothing. Any particular reason it won't let the tires spin? I've done countless burnouts in older cars, specifically 90's cars. Is it a computer control thing?

You should be able to easily spin the rears for as long as you lean on the throttle. Particularly on stock sized 18's.

Agreed. I can lay stripes at will and I have very sticky tires. Then again, I also have a bit more power than the average bear. I would be happy that you are hooking up. Usually, I have the opposite problem.

Maybe I'll give it another shot then. Thanks.

See I think it may have been the asphalt I was on. It was a super dark sticky gravel tar type stuff. Normally on other roads it won't hook at all and on a take off it just spins forever.
This does confirm, though, that there is no ecu interfering here correct?

I don't believe you can hold the brakes and throttle at the same time. If you want to do a brake stand type of burn out you will need to disconnect the brake switch.
I hope to be a member of this group soon. My 2004 g35 6speed is not doin too well right now and I am actively looking for a black on black 10-13 6speed...I see a lot of them for around 20k but don't want to spend that much, trying to get one around 15-16
I drive a 2012 G37S Graphite Shadow with black interior in the South Houston area.
The car came with Stillen catback and cai that we had to re installed. It also came with some sort of 3m tint. I asked a tint shop to look at the percentages and he said it's something like 20% in the front and 15% in the rear.
Mods I added includes the Diode Dynamics Led conversion kit, tow hook license plate, Lamin X yellow overlays, Autodipped grille and black 3m vinyl on parts of the window trim.

Clean car, I had a question with the autodip. How well does the gloss back autodial match up to 3m gloss back vinyl wrap. Also, why did you choose vinyl for you window trip over autodip. Thanks

Thanks! I would say that the vinyl is more glossy and maybe a bit darker than the autodip. I can definitely tell a difference between the two in sunlight. The vinyl also has a smoother look to it but I might've just messed up the application.
I had no experience in either wrapping or spray painting. To me, I felt that it was easier to paint the grille because of the curves and those pillars. The trim was pretty straight forward for wrapping but took more work. I like the ease of autodip but personally prefer the looks of the wrap more. That being said, I'm still satisfied with the autodip.
@ctng37, I appreciate the reply and pics. I was thinking of autodipping my window trip and grill but I was afraid that it wouldnt match the b pillar (which I heard the 3m gloss back vinyl wrap does). I think Ill go with the vinyl wrap to be safe. Thanks again

No Problem. Glad I could help. The wrap does match pretty well with the pillars. I ended up wrapping it too because there are so many scratches from the previous owner.
