2010 Sedan first impressions

I bought this via internet from a dealer and had it shipped to Houston form Portland. It arrived a little late and dirty but its here. I have on made a few short trips and spent time with the manual setting it up. Here are my first impressions

1. Ride- firm but not jarring, about what I would expect form a sports car
2. Noise- Some tire noise depending on the road, I am sure a set of the right tire wold help
3. Audio- I played high quality DVD-a disc and sounds pretty good. FM, not so good, XM, depends on song. Bluethooth, I was impressed playing Pandora. So really crap in crap out, but if its a descent recording then it will work for me
4.Proformance- coming for a Jetta TDI, enough said.
5. Looks- I think for the money its the best put together car hands down.
6. Interior comfort and appointments, this is what I think makes this car, its the overall package. Yes there are some things I would change but I would spend more.

So far after 20 miles that it. Now onto some more fun

Another G owner from Houston! Woot.

On the tire noise, I find that most freeways in Houston are bad, uneven, and rough. That certainly doesn't help with the already firm ride on the G, so a set of better tires will make it better, but not gone.

The only way to get rid of tire noise in Houston is to buy a Lexus IMO.

Congrats on the new car btw.

This message is pointless. The OP's message had a couple of typos but there was nothing unclear about it.

Let the guy enjoy his car. Probably excited after having to wait and wait... and wait.

Which specific model [trim] did you get? Pics?

Congrats on the car. Question, I didn't think these systems played DVD-a discs could you elaborate? But I agree crap in crap out, but I like the sound system.

Sorry about the english, native Mississipian, was in a hurry to post like now.

Yes it will play DVD-A, asplayed a Steely Dan disc, also played music DVD video as well. I have not tried SACD.

The Steely Dan sounded real tight, I have a modest home system for comparsion; Marantz processor, Emotiva amp, Sonus Faber speakers, Oppo disc player. I do not care much for Bose but this system will play some material descently. I would love to have a Mark Levension system but not at 7-8k.

I did keep the Jetta as my throwdown car as well as my Surburban, three trucks and a Harley. The car is my wife's and was given for Valentines

As for tires, I noticed a marked reduction in noise on the TDI when I put a set of Michelin MX??
