Problem after installing test pipes

So Ive had these test pipes installed for about 2-3 months now. When i slowly accelerate, at about 2-3k rpm, it will begin to hiss or rasp, but it sounds like some metal clanging with each other. Do u guys think it might be an exhaust leak at the test pipes or it might be some screws that are not tighten. Also, i have the tanabe axle back for my exhaust setup. Would that also be a possibility why this is happening? Thanks in advance for the help

Metal clanging is not good, something may be loose or floating around the system. Some hiss or rasp is expected with certain test pipes, especially non resonated.

Idk. Metal clanging sounds to me like they didn't hang the exhaust correctly or missed a hanger or something.

I doubt a leak would sound like metal clanging. More like a hiss. Wouldn't take anything for you to crawl under and make sure the seam bolts are tight and that all the visible hangers are where they're supposed to be.

Wear safety glasses. Make sure the car is stable before going under. And try to have a buddy in case, god forbid, something bad happens.

Good luck!

Btw, i have Berk test pipes. I never had this problem when I had my Tanabes installed, it only started happening after my test pipes were installed. Well, i would lean towards more of a rasp than a hiss, but definitely sounds like metal clanging. So i guess i will try and put the car on a hoist and hopefully figure out whats wrong

I can hear metal rattling when I accelerate and mine is 100% stock. Perhaps it's not the test pipe?

That's the nature of test pipes ... They make all sorts of weird metal noises , rasp and sound like chit...

Based on your descriptions, it doesn't seem like a leak. You should check if you have all screws tighten because I had something like a metal rattling sound when I forgot to tighten one screw.

If you can get the car up in the air and inspect the exhaust up close, if there's an exhaust leak you will be able to see residue on where its been coming out. Also check for pieces of heat shield etc that may be rubbing, keep in mind that the exhaust will flex and move around while you're driving

Do you guys think it might the combination of the axle back exhaust and the test pipes that's causing the rasp?
