Im still quite fond of my random carbon fiber ebay pickup spoiler. Havent seen many that follow the body line so nicely.
That does look good on your black sedan. I think I would paint it to match the car, however. Or maybe wrap the lower section in CF to match the spoiler. Have you considered that?
Still the best spoiler for the car as it should have shipped with this spoiler vs. the chrome beret.
Nearly impossible to buy new anymore and for some reason nobody has attempted a knock off aftermarket version.
Very first G35 coupe that I was back in 2003 had the OEM rear wing on it. My pal and I called it the ironing board. On the otherwise swoopy, rounded body shape, that flat wing on the deck lid should look bad. But somehow it works.
Glad Infiniti kept the ironing board alive, at least while the G model name was still around. I’d go as far to say the flat rear spoiler is a signature design element for the G…maybe not Porsche whale tail level but it’s pretty distinctive imo

I always wanted to get a carbon diffuser to make it all match, but hard to justify the price. My mirrors and spoiler are real carbon and I feel like wrapping the bottom diffuser area would be too obviously different. A few minimal carbon elements on a black car hits just right.

I still think the first gen coupe with that spoiler is one of the best looking cars of the 2000s. Timeless classic look.

Agree on the idea to use CF on the diffuser. The carbon fiber PPF nowadays looks better than the vinyl, so check it out as well if you decide to take this path.
Thanks Josh. I definitely receive a lot more positive feedback on the car from people of all ages with the new wheels and painted calipers.
It’s a labor of love caring for them with the new EBC pads as the bedding material the pads use make a mess. Due for a wash this weekend because I’ve been driving a lot this week.

^ this combo of chrome and painted calipers is very eyecatching
Recently drove back home to NY, whenever I drive up I seem to run into a few nicely modded G37s (mostly near BK and Nassau Co). Didn’t try to take pics while driving, but cool to see NY car culture is keeping some clean Gs on the road (note: also no shortage of clap-traps)
Install of my coilovers, arms, and angle kit got finished up today. Height is decent right now for drivability, but I think I can go about an inch lower without much major issue. Wanted to err on the safe side for the initial setup.

Feel like any lower than this shifts the car’s overall look from “performance” to “stanced.” Which might be what you’re going for, but I think the way the car sits in this photo is spot-on.
Will likely go coilovers too once something in my suspension fails. Til then, OEM sport suspension suits me fine. Sway bars should come first, something I keep delaying..
