Inspection includes using a tool to measure light throughput. It's a little thing, like a stud finder.

Believe me, I wish I could have have tint again. All cars look better with tinted windows, IMO.

Cat mods are illegal here too, but the requirement is just a visual inspection that you have the part, OEM or otherwise. It could be gutted and nobody would know. The cats on my old Maxima were gutted.

Went out for a weekend trip to the mountains, hit some nice stretches of road. Snapped a quick photo when grabbing coffee

Which now has me thinking about finally getting to suspension upgrades. I’ve got my homework to do, but basically looking to tighten things up along with a very modest drop (I’d be fine if it’s barely noticeable). Not quite sure if coilovers will make sense for me, but going to consider them as well as new shocks/springs.

I have been thinking along those lines as well. I have a set of new endlinks to install, along with swaybar bushings. Since the swaybars need to come off to install, I have been looking at new swaybars as well.

Additionally, I've also been looking at these adjustable control arms from SPL to get rid of that nasty bumpsteer which is common when lowering: https://www.splparts.com/products/37...bumpsteer.html

There was one person that had used them and he said that the goal with the spacers is to make the tie rod ends parallel to the control arms.

Not being parallel is apparently what causes bumpsteer. Everyone there seemed to agree that lowering this platform causes pretty bad bumpsteer.

Have you tried removing the BCM to make sure it didn't get water logged and see if maybe the case is cracked or something?

I got a new clutch switch to swap in today, when that doesn't fix it I'm pulling the BCM. Plan to send it out for repair and then fingers crossed it isn't actually the IPDM/er causing the no crank...

Well, when you park it next that slammed 240SX, sure. Otherwise, it's not so bad. But yes, a little extra fitment effort would be good.

Are those Z track package wheels? And look at those OEM LED running lights... those aren't common at all.

Yep, they're the Z34 Sport wheels by Rays. Never really thought about my DRLs until you mentioned it, but I guess they do seem rather uncommon. Pretty neat.

IIRC those DRLs where a very expensive, dealer-installed option. I suspect the only cars you see with them are when someone ordered the car and checked off everything extra on the options sheet. Since the RWD Sport Package was already nearly maxed out, I guess the DRLs were on a short list. But like I said, really expensive for what they are.

They also had a triangular pattern option for the non-Sport bumper. Both looked kind of awkward, IMO, but also super rare.
