URGENT - G37X not starting up

Guys,

I was out on a vacation for a month and just came back today...My new 2011 G37X does not start up....I tried both my keys and nothing works....The car does not even turn on....Also, surprisingly, the car was unlocked....The car has been inside my closed garage this whole month....Please guide me as to what could be wrong...

Sounds right. The dealer told me that they've had a few dead battery issues when people press the ignition button once and walk away. They tell me there's no timer to turn off the juice and it'll go until the battery dies. I haven't tested it to confirm .

Just get a jump and then drive it for an extended period without your radio and other accessories on. These cars don't take too long to recharge a dead battery. I left a back door open overnight and the dome light drained the battery, and did just what I said and no problems since.

I had a battery problem like yours only my car had not been sitting for a month but only about 4 days. There was zero sound coming from the engine but I was able to jump start it and get it to the dealer. The mechanic told me that Infinitis always have something draining power in them and if not driven often it might be a good idea to keep a trickle charger on the battery. He then replaced my battery with a 700 CCA size battery, the one that came in the car is 550 CCA, without charge. A 43k car with an inadequate battery, go figure.

Gotta cut corners somewhere.

In the course of browsing through the service manual for the '10, I recall reading something about a transit switch. Something they flip during the PDI. I suspect this switch truly disconnects the battery from any parasitic draw.

Fyi, there's white switch in the fuse box which you pull out to turn off most of your accessories when you have your car sitting for a long period of time.
