How To Tell If Car Has Tech Package

Hello - I'm a newbie here, looking to buy a 2009 G37S. Is there a way to tell if a car has the technology package from the pictures or VIN number?

The car I'm interested in has the performance package and nav but I can't tell if it has the tech package or not and the dealer is ignorant on this subject too.

Thanks for the help,
Jay

Motortrends has the following for the Tech package for 2009:

Headlight control with internal height adjustment active and automatic; Cruise control with distance sensors; Brake assist with preview; Pre-crash seat belts; Requires: [U01] Navigation Package

I guess you should be able to adjust the headlights? I'm not sure if there are other indicators too

One word of advice is the 2009 g37s test drive one and get a feel for it... Then test drive a non-s and get a feel for it.

I noticed the 09 g37s has a heavy feel to it when you excelerate that is becuase the car weighs little more and hence uses more gasses I would assume.

My suggestion might be to go for a non 2 and tech packages sometimes are over rated you canget one installed after market...

Check out the driectusnav forum all info is on it

Look for a rectangle opening in the lower grill, its for the cruise control lazer, which is part of the tech package.

This is how I usually tell. Or I look for the MAP button.

Easy visual clues are the cutout in the lower center grille as mentioned or the extra button on the right steering wheel spoke that controls the ICC that non Tech pkg cars don't have.

Thanks for the help everyone. It turns out the car I'm looking at doesn't have the tech package. I may buy it anyways, just wanted to know so I could make an informed offer.

@Doggy - I did ask the dealer, he had no idea until I told him about the rectangle opening in the grill.

Hi, I have a 2010 G37 rebuild. My cruise control laser sensor seems to be incorrectly aimed - it slows the car if there is another car in the slow lane. Is there a way to adjust the sensor aim? Can someone send me a picture of what the sensor looks like?
Thanks,
GMS
