Uhaul Hitch Installation

Hello all,

I am looking to get a hitch installed on my 2010 G Sedan. The only place I have found to do the work was Uhaul. Does anyone have first-hand experience with them and hitch installation? Any tips, horror stories, advice, or random thoughts would be greatly appreciated. I want to get a bike rack for my and my wife's mountain bikes.

Thanks

Personally I wouldn't let uhaul do it. A 'hidden Hitch' capable of hold a bike rack or even towing a light weight trailer, is easy to install by myself.

I have one on my 2011 Sedan and it's been fantastic. I've used it to attach my 3 bike rack from raxter Raxter Racks - Rack Your Bike and I also have wiring hookup down there in case I want to tow some kayaks or other fun toys.

I posted some photos of the installed hitch here:

This is the place that did the install - they did a great job obviously
A & B Trailer Hitch - Redwood City, CA I am sure you can call them and ask for advice/hints for the hitch and the wiring.

I can also get you a great deal on one of those bike racks if you need one.

I had Uhaul install a hitch on my mini van. Instead of using one made to fit the factory holes, the tech decided to use a generic one and drilled 4 new holes into the chassis.

Not all of them will do this, but with a place like Uhaul, you have no control because it's after the fact that I found out by looking down.

The problem with ordering a rack and DIY is that here is a chance rack will get damaged in transit because most UPS guys frown upon heavy metal objects and may "accidently" drop them. happened to my friend and he actually had to sent stuff back 3 times to get one that is straight enough to bolt on with some encouragement from 3 other friends.
