g37 2011 - bunch of questions

hey guys

I'm in the market for a 2011 G37 but I'm having a lot of difficulty choosing.

Basically I live in the UAE and since it's a small market you can't customise your G - you get what the dealer imports only. Currently they import:

G37 Sedan - Blue Slate, Liquid Platinum, Obsidian Black, Moon White and Vibrant Red.

G37 Coupe - Shadow Graphite, Liquid Platinum, Obsidian Black, Moon White and Vibrant Red.

Sedan price - 160,000AED ($43,600)
Coupe price - 200,000AED ($54,500)

Sedan is some bizarre variant of Jouney & Premium and sport package is not available (no sport wheels, or brakes)

Coupe is sport package only.

I don't really like the look of the coupe and I can't really justify the price difference so I'm leaning towards the Sedan unless anyone can sway me towards the coupe (I'm single but I'm not really a huge fan of the stock coupe, I think it looks a bit feminine)

So basically I'm thinking to get a Sedan and spice it up a bit with a few mods.

I want to tint the windows, put a rear diffuser and depending on the colour of the car, get the grill blackened and the wheels blackened. (The alloys are the premium G alloys, the nicest ones with the 7-spoke - they look beautiful in silver but im not sure how they'd look in black)

So can you fine gentlemen help me decide between a coupe and a sedan considering how they come here and what colour I should go for considering what I intend to do with it.

I'll give you an example of why I'm stumped.

Blue Slate for example is gorgeous as stock but I think it would look totally wrong if you blackened the wheels, put a black rear diffuser, and blackened the grill and tinted the windows. The colour just doesn't go with black, it's not enough contrast.

Likewise, Liquid platinum being silver wouldn't really go with black wheels either or a diffuser. It would kind of look cheap and detract from the elegance of the car.

So right now I'm thinking maybe Obsidian Black, but with black wheels, black grill, black tints, etc It's probably too black.

Would white be the best option? Would it still look good with the above modifications or would it ruin it? Does anyone have any pics of what I'm contemplating?

Also I'd love suggestions for a diffuser to match the look I'm going for (understated but aggressive) so far the diffusers I've seen look a bit tacky and cheap so I might get one customed designed (it will cost me 2000AED)

Sorry for the long post but I'm reaaaallllly stumped and I hope you guys can help!

honestly from all the mods you listed, i think moonlight white will be your best bet... but again, with all the mods you listed, dont paint them matte black, keep the shiny black color and im pretty sure the colors will flow nicely, and get a drop!

Yep... white car would be the smart choice. As hot as it is over there I am surprised you are even considering a black car.

When I was in the Navy I visited Dubai and Jebel Ali a number of times. Hot doesn't even begin to describe it. Iraq was worse. It was hot, dirty and smelly. At least UAE is clean.

There's a friend of ours that has an IP coupe with a CF theme going on, he is going to spray paint the wheels, he had the housings and tails painted. It looks great on a coupe, I'm sure it would flow great with the sedan too!
+2 on the drop and wheels

thanks for all the replies guys! Really appreciate it

I'm not a fan of lowering it despite that it seems to be very popular here. Ideally I want to keep it as stock as possible just with a few minor but personalising touches such as what I mentioned.

I was wondering if anyone had pictures they could show me of a white G37 with blackened grill, black diffuser, black tints and black 18"OEM sedan wheels (the 7 spoke ones)

In blue slate or black would be equally great too just so I could get a comparison.

I also happened to speak to someone today who mentioned he could supply me with Brembo brakes (albeit a bit expensive! about $8000 for back and rear without discs). I'd love to get them but that's far far too expensive. Any recommendations for better than stock brakes that doesn't bust the bank open?

I don't have black OEM 18s, but you get the idea of how the grill, diffuser and tints look on moonlight white.

That's a great looking Sedan, except I think the front of the car is a bit dull. I don't know there's just something very non-interesting about it in white. Doesn't look as dull in black or silver.

I notice you put the coupe wheels on it. Personally I really love the OEM 18" wheels on the sedan (7-spoke but can't seem to find the official name, they're in hypersilver).

I'm dying to see what they would look like in matt black and gunmetal gray

I had these 18s on before the coupe wheels. Are you referring to these?
