I'm running the 19" coupe rims on my 09 sedan with 275 rear tires and 245 front tires, with a mild drop on the eibach pro springs. The rear tires sit fairly flush, but the front seems like it could be be pushed out a little to make it more flush. Are there any drawbacks to sticking 5mm spacers on the front to improve the look?

Yea you will need to go to 10mm to get the wheels to be hub centric The 5mm doesnt have the lip

Finally got them refinished and put on. Chose a simple gray powdercoat. Lowered on Tein H-Tech. Also took the opportunity to install front/rear Eibach sway bars and rear SPC camber kit. May need some spacers for a bit of a better look.

This thread is the reason I joined the forum. I’ve really enjoyed all of the pictures. I have a 2009 G37xS with duck feet 18s which currently have winter tires. I’ve been hesitant to pull the trigger on 19s. My biggest fear is loosing ride quality. Can anyone chime in on if there was a difference between their 18s? Help please.

I had 17" stock wheels on a 2015 Q40 sedan (same as 2013 G37 sedan).
Ride quality was as good as it could get, stock baseline, call it a 10.
Added swift lowering springs only, ride quality degraded from a 10, to a 9.
Swapped 17" to 19" sport wheels, ride quality went from a 9 to a 7.

Not terrible, however I was surprised that the wheel diameter change has a significantly more dramatic effect than the lowering springs.

Stay away from run-flats and you won't have an issue with ride quality on 19" UHP tires. 19" Michelin PSS3 ride better than 18" Bridgestone S-03 Pole Positions and have more grip as well.

^reminds me of when I got my set of coupe 19s (crammed them into my girlfriends old Volvo)…

Hope you move forward with the install. Plenty of other great options for wheel upgrades out there, but to me, no others look right at home as much as these.

Trying to decide between 255/40 and 245/40. Square setup since I’ve got AWD. Both are within the 1% variance from stock, 0.64% vs -0.53% respectively. Any recommendations?

I always vote for more contact patch. And you can run 245/40 and 275/35 staggered on AWD models.

245/40 front and 275/35 rear. Seem pretty flush to me, maybe a few mm in. Not worth spacers IMHO. Also, ride is pretty good. Much less harsh than the 20s that were on it. Comparable to the 18s on other G37s I've driven but a little tauter around corners.
