Tint Opinions

Hi all,

Just landed my 2010 G37xS -- It's moonlight white and I'm about to get tint on it. My question is - what's you all's opinion on tinting percentages for the four side windows? They back I know what I'm doing - but for the four side ones, I'm having trouble deciding to do either all the same tint or the back two a darker color.

Thoughts???

I prefer them to be all the same shade...looks cleaner that way. I have 35% all around on my MW. also, your interior color plays a factor also. Graphite will make it look darker.

I went with 35 on the four sides and 20 on the rear window and very pleased with the outcome. Of course state laws can play a factor in the decision. 35% seems to be about as dark as you'll want to go on the front sides without drawing too much attention if you are in a state that restricts front side window tinting.

I have 35 all around on my PG cause I prefer the uniform look. OP, what % are you doing on the back glass?

Get a single % all around, as dark as state law allows.

Anyone have pictures with a MW with 40-50% all around? I need to re-tint my car also.

I would just do 25% all around then if it's legal. I think it's dark enough, and although you might want to go darker for the rear window, you may want to consider that it gets harder to see out at night.

I have a moonlight white g37x sedan and i had 20s on the back and 35s on the front due to state limits! the 35s on the front weren't that dark and i went back and got 20s and it looks great!! 20's all around would be ideal!

What interior do you have? As Sniper said, there's a definite difference in the darkness appearance with the 35 when installing on the graphite black interior compared to a lighter interior. Our previous G had the light interior and we had the same 35 installed, but it didn't appear as dark due to the brighter light reflective properties of the lighter interior.

As for the 20 on the rear window, I have absolutely no problem seeing through it night or day from the driver's seat.

I have 35 in the front and 20 in the back, I like it and honestly you can't tell the difference. Maybe because I have blk on blk. :P

I have 35 on the sides and 20 in the back with MW & stone interior and you still can't tell the difference. Got mine with ceramic based film so no interference with nav or other electronics and no conflict with my radar/laser detector. Highly recommend the stuff. What a huge difference with interior temperature.

I'm doing maximum legal all around on mine (32% in Georgia iirc) on Friday. The graphite interior will make it look a bit darker though. I'll post some pics this weekend after it's done if I get a chance.
