Front windshield tinting
Front windshield tinting
Last Saturday, I had my car tinted at 20% all around except the front windshield. I initially wanted to go with 35% all around, but since my car is white (with light color interior), they recommended 20%.
20% turned out alot darker than I expected, and somehow looks weird without the front not being tinted at all (very uneven/unfinished look). So, I made an appointment for this Saturday to tint the front windshield at 50%. I hope this can make the car look little more smooth all around...
Does anyone else have any experience with front windshield tinting? How do you guys like it?

I think it looks absolutely badass. However, I do question some of the safety at night/rain/etc. I also think that it only opens you up to be pulled over that much more often, and you have to determine if that is worth it or not to you. If I'm not mistaken, windshield tint is illegal in every state?
If you get in an accident with a tinted windshield and someone is seriously injured or worse, you can be pretty sure that: 1) it will be your fault; and 2) you might go to jail.
You're going to do it anyway, but just know that it's illegal for a reason, and really really stupid for a number of additional reasons. It blows my mind what people are willing to risk in order to get a certain look for their car.

I got into an accident recently and my windshield was tinted. They didnt say anything about it and i think it actually helps because front the outside the windshield looked cracked all over but the tint stops it from going in the car, so it can be safe too. with the 50% youll be fine
I always question if front tinting actually makes you more susceptible to being pulled over. To be honest, if you're running 15% tint all around WITHOUT front tint, I think you're more likely to be pulled over (here in socal at least). With 50% fronts, it makes the whole care look more even and your 15% more like a 30% when looking at the car as a whole.
