Dilemma about questionable/sleazy dealership behavior
i look at it in a different perspective. i think they will fix it immediately and act like they didnt know about it even if they did. if you brought this out in the opened it would seriously damage their image. im sure they can imagine a full showroom floor of potential buyers and you walking in shouting "dont buy a car here they add fake stickers that look like wood just to make a sale!" lol or better yet they might see their scamming dealership on the 5 oclock news.
but again, this party was not there when his parents were buying a car. And if they told the parents it was a dealer installed wood kit and written on the addendum sticker which is mandatory by law, the dealership did nothing wrong.
I sell those wood kits about 5-10 of them each month for the G sedan's alone.... b/c the G25 you can't get wood trim....
the dealership is my first home really since im here 54 hours a week... i think real estate are more scammers than a dealership.

it's the install quality that needs to be amended. granted I've also installed the carbon fiber kits onto a several G's as well. we gotta try and please everyone and I'm sure his parents are happy -- just he is making a fuss about it.
so are you saying this looks bad?

I'd say take it back. At least try to get them to install the OEM wood. It you are keeping what they've already done, have the dealer verify and document it. Like someone else mentioned, you wouldn't want to try to return this car at the end of the lease and get charged because "your parents added crappy wood appliques."
I don't want to derail the thread but I'm not a fan of those shiny wood veneer kits. They always look out of place and tacky. I guess my biggest gripe with them is that they plaste wood everywhere in the car. I'm not crazy about OEM wood trim but it seems more subtle to me; wood veneer kits always seem to go overboard.

The wood trim is made of real maple, and the only way to get it is to get either the Sport Package or the Performance tire and wheel package. Also, it should be listed in the window sticker as Interior Accent Package.
