If you want to put in your own music, download to a CD from your computer and stick that CD in the music box. It works if you work it.

The Music Box will not import mp3 formatted CD's in my car, only .aiff or .wav files, like a standard CD. This is kind of a bummer as you can get hundreds of mp3's on a CD and usually less than 20 on a standard CD.

No, it's a valid argument. There are an infinite number of things that can distract a driver. Trying to eliminate one of them is a false sense of security and is more about prevent lawsuits than anything else. The moron in the other lane with a lockout on his navigation system is most likely texting his buddy anyway. That's a fact.

Admittedly, the nav lockout is designed for average, rather than skilled drivers. That’s OK with me, as I don’t care to be killed via a head-on distracted driver who let his eyes stray from the road a bit too long while imputing a destination.
I agree...but I'm smart enough to realize that the very same guy is likely to take his eyes off the road for many other reasons. That's why I'm a defensive driver and I look for any small sign that other driver's aren't paying attention to the road.

And I still don’t understand what all the fuss is about when we have an excellent voice recognition system that makes manual inputs while driving unnecessary.
Voice recognition sucks. It's not exactly intuitive and no matter how clearly you speak it still tends to get commands mixed up.
