Words of Advice needed 1000mile over service due.

Yikes, so my second oil change was suppose to be at 8500miles but lifes been throwing me around with work and other shiits. I havn't been able to get the car for service, currently i have 9600 miles on the car and won't be getting it service till around 10,000 miles i think.

car first oil change was with infiniti ester oil. Was thinking of buying a bottle of synthetic oil and getting her change to that from regular.

I'm alil concern about my carelessness for this miss oil change. Should i be really worry?

And is it too late to switch to synthetic oil? i looked at the poll and the concensus on this forum is mobil 1 is the best?

You should be alright waiting till 10k but at least check your oil level to make sure your not low before pressing on.
I don't know where you read that Mobil 1 was the best...? Most here including myself have gone away from Mobil 1 (VVTL system doesn't like it) and have gone to Pennzoil Platnium or expensive ester based oils like Redline or Motul.

you will be fine. changing every 3000 is recommended, your car wont die by waiting another 1000 miles.

I would not go much longer with that Nissan oil. It has shown to break down around 4K miles.

As mike said, Mobil1 does not hold up well in the G37. If you plan to keep to the 3750 mile OCI, you could use pretty much any quality oil. If you want to go longer, then you want to get something like Pennzoil Ultra, Motul, etc.
