What does the VDC button do?

My trunk does close if I leave the keys inside the trunk. Same with my other cars with "intelligent key". The only thing I could think of is low key fob battery. Sometimes I try to start the car and this "key not detected" icon pos up and car won't start. This happens when the battery is weak. It does not detect the key.

anyone know if the trunk doesnt lock itself when the intelligent key is in the trunk for the coupes? kinda want to try it and show it to some friends but don't want to be in the same situation as the OP.

It turns the VDC system off.

i also tried this. threw my keys in the trunk and tried to close it... the trunk just pops back open.
