Hi All, first time poster and new to the USA from a country that did not sell Infiniti cars.

I am wanting to buy a used late model G37 sedan. Despite doing a lot of research I am a little confused.

In 2008 the G35 had an engine upgrade to give a bit more power but remained with 5 speed auto transmission.

Any 2008 G37 will be a coupe and not a sedan?
In 2009 the G37 sedan was launched with a 7 speed auto transmission?

Does a G37S only come out in manual and or coupe styles?

Do I look for a CPO 2008 G35 5 speed sedan or pay a little more for a CPO 2009 G37 7 speed if I can find one??

Wikipedia was one of the research tools I used.

It still did not answer my questions.

 

I've had an 07 and an 09 and I really like the 5AT better, but the 09 is quieter, gets about 2mpg better and is just slightly quicker off the line (but not much). You'll obviously have more warranty time w/ the 09 and better resale. The paint sucks on both too
