Looking to buy new G37 need some help
Hello All,
I am looking to purchase a 2010 G37 with all the bells and whistles. G37 journey + premium + nav. I wanted to know if you guys recommened the sport package as I am 6'2. I drove a regular model and it was great but I was told that the sport seats are small compared to the regular model. What options do you guys recommended to get? Does the sport package make a big difference in the feel of the car? I just got out of a BMW 535i and I'm looking for something similar at a lesser cost.
Thanks!
HT

I don't think height has much to do with it. I am 6'2" and have no issues. I think it has more to do with width. I would say if you wear over a 36 waist size, it may start to get tight. I am around a 35 and I can squeeze in, but I could see it being an issue with larger people. All-in-all, the sport package is a must to me (including the seats) and I think it makes the car an overall better performer.

I don't have the sport package but I've read that the seat was tight and uncomfortable.
Things you have to consider before opting for the sport package. Are you planning to get new wheels? lower the car? go to the track (for bigger brakes).
I bought the non sport because I knew then that I will get 20" wheels and lower my car.
I don't go to the track, therefore, no need for bigger brakes.
Paddle shifters can be added for $245 and there is a simple DIY.
Just my 2 cents.

Your probably right. It is a tad confining for me too, but well worth it. I guess, realistically, anyone over the 33-34 range is going to notice, but I think you can deal with it up to the 36 range. Anything over that, I am not sure about. I hated the flat seats in my 04 G35, and the extra support of these is worth it.

I can't say much for the paddle shifters as I have the 6MT. However, I like the snug seats, they keep you in place during quick take-offs. They also keep you in place from rolling around tight corners. There is plenty of back support and leg support which I think is key anytime you buy a car.
