I'll be the lonely guy at the back of the class and raise my hand and say...Invidia.

Fit was perfect. But it isn't very loud, almost OE coupe like.

Stillen really needs their marketing folks to put together a proper demo of their system. That flip phone YouTube video of someone speeding up and down the street of a residential neighborhood doesn't cut it...

Since we are here,

My fast intentions catback install/fit was perfect. My high flow cats install/fit was ok. The inherent problems I got from this combo afterwards are well, lets just say it was/is not exactly what I was hoping for. I contacted Fast intentions with these concerns and pretty much got the cold shoulder (funny how that works) but to be fair, what can they really do at this point (besides do some more R@D). With that said, every exhaust for this platform has compromises ( I really have no idea if there is a perfect solution to the HFC/CBE hiss/rasp so take my statement with a grain of salt) so pick the one that won't upset you the most and don't look back. However, if you want perfect fit from a just a catback, you would be hard pressed to find a better exhaust system then the Fast Intentions branded one. Good luck to whoever is reading this thread past the 4 years post date but to be real, this information is still relevant.

This. Well said.

1. Be willing to compromise
2. Let go of regrets
3. Fix the things you can

I love the way the Tanabe axle back looks, best looking IMO, but how does it compare in sound / loudness to some of the catbacks? Can anyone chime in?

Tanabe sounds OEM until you rev around 4k when it get louder and deeper. It's a very quiet system. I've had Tanabes on my M35 and now the G37 since it's nice a quiet most of the time.

FI Resonated HFC and the FI CBE with 18" resonators is absolutely perfect for a daily driven G. no drone on the highway and sounds great under acceleration.

Is it safe to say that the FI CBE with 12 inch resonator would sound similar to FI CBE with 18 inch resonator coupled with a HFC? I am considering upgrading the Tanabe to a FI CBE looking for a deeper daily driving friendly tone, but am not going to install HFC's.

The Tanabe Axleback is a VERY good look for the G37 Sedan. 4.5in SS tips, definitely recommend the Tanabe if you want something subtle.
