What is the best fit exhaust system for the G37 Sedan?

I have read through many postings where others have installed the Tanabe system or something else. This may be a silly question, but Tanabe doesn't have a sedan fit yet, well coming soon.

I am looking at the Borla exhaust system for my G37, but I am not ready to through down the cash if the system needs alterations.

How do you know which exhaust systems fit what, if there is not a sedan version already?

I have an X, so I was extremely limited with the catbacks I could choose. I went with Stillen because they are one of the few companies that makes an entire cat-back. Zero fitment issues at all. The installation (removal of stock, and installation of Stillen) took about 30 minutes.

Tanabe makes an axle back exhaust for the sedan, not cat-back. Essentially, you're just buying mufflers, but I've heard good things from forum members here that have it, and are satisfied with the sound.

FI also makes a cat-back for the sedan that I've also heard positive feedback about, also here on the forums.

Good luck with your exhaust hunt.

I have an FI on my '10 G37S. Quick to install, looks and sounds great!! Had Stillen on my '07 G35S....also easy to install and looked great but a bit too loud. I would go with the FI cat-back.

Your wish is my command :P
If you're still interested in Tanabe's exhausts I think they're selling them now. I sifted through the R&D page after seeing my friend's 335 that they used for spring prototyping :P

The owner of the muffler shop who installed my Stillen exhaust for the Sedan said it was the best fitting aftermarket exhaust he has ever installed, fwiw. However, I'm sure you can't go wrong with tanabe, FI, Stillen, or any reputable company.

The Stillen exhaust sounds pretty good in my opinion but also so does the FI.

It looks like a midpipe isn't going to be made for the Sedan
Call Tanabe and pester them until they make it!!! Maybe because there isn't enough interest right now
