Any Sedan Owners with seatbelt problems?

I have searched through the forum and found in the convertible section that they are having problems with the seatbelt damaging the B-pillar panels. Now I am wondering if other sedan owners like myself have experienced the B-pillar panel getting all scratched up and dented from the seatbelt rubbing against it when retracting back into place. Is this covered under warranty? Apparently it is a poor design and the seatbelt is damaging the panel. My passenger side B-pillar panel does not have scratches due to the fact that I don't have passengers in the vehicle most of the time.

I have a couple of small nicks on the B pillar from the seatbelt, but it can be addressed by simply holding on to the seatbelt for a second or so as it retracts.

I've noticed minor nicks, etc. in the last 4 cars I've owned as a result of the same thing. Metal beats plastic.

I'm gonna take some pictures and post to show how bad it has gotten. I've only had my car for 9 months. It was picked up brand new. At this rate I'm thinking my B-pillar panels will look really bad as time goes on.

I dont think this is really a flaw with the G, its more that you are releasing the belt and letting it snap back into place. You are supposed to move your arm back with it just as if you were about to put it on.

Every other car has the same issue, so its not really a car specific design flaw. Its just normal for most drivers to be lazy and unbuckle and let it snap back into place. If you ever get your windows tinted you will realize most people move it back into place because they dont want it snapping back and having a chance of nicking the tint film.
