Looks nice, but how come they cut around the brake light? I think it looks better when the whole window is tinted.
Aside from the logistics issues raised here, maybe some tint shops actually care about the safety of their customers? The tail lights would look 100 times better blacked-out too, but then they wouldn't function properly, so we don't do it, or there are laws preventing it. Assuming the third brake light has a useful function, it should not be covered with dark tint.

If you ask a shop to tint your windows 5% - they'll do it, even though it would be very dangerous to drive that car at night. So no, I don't think they care much about the safety of their customers. Which is fine, cause I don't need them to. The real reason is money. Some shops tint the whole window automatically, and some don't. Some will do it only if you ask, because they want to do the job at a minimum time... the extra hassle with the brake light costs time and therefore money.
Even with the tint, the brake light is very bright. And when combining it with the car's retina burning taillights.... I think you have to be high not to see it brake
In order to get in there I think they need to remove the brake light. But I'm not sure because I wasn't there to see how they did it on mine. I just told him to tint the whole thing, and they did. In NY it's all illegal anyway, so might as well make it look good.
Nope. They just need the right tools. Honestly, any tint guy that doesn't have the proper tools to get tint behind the brake light in the G37 should find a new career. lol
I don't know where you live, but here in NJ you can't tint the brake light, so they cut it all the time. Silly state law!
I live in NY. EVERYTHING is illegal in NY. To tint anything, to blacken anything, to brighten anything - doesn't matter. It's all illegal, so if you're going to brake a rule, might as well do it all the way and correctly

No idea how they do it. I wasn't there. But the place I went to is supposidly the best in Brooklyn. I don't know how he did what, but I'm pleased.
Bought my car with the windows already tinted. I didnt want to have to get the tinting re-done so i just pulled the rear deck out and painted the light housing. Pictures arent great but it looks 100x better in person than it did when i bought it.
I also started to tint my tails but the puppy decided he wanted to help and got hair all over the last of my tint. New tint roll should be here on Saturday.
Does anyone know what the factory tint is on the 2010 G37 sedan? I recall reading 73% or 74% somewhere, but I can't find documentation for this. Thanks.
