Fact...

Ever since I got my G37, I find myself driving like a maniac, screaming at poor old women in their Cadillacs to get out of my way so I can downshift and hear the sweet sweet sound of my engine at 6K rpms!

Fact - ever since I got my G, I've received to speeding tickets in 6 months. My G is killing me with my insurance company.

Did I mistakenly type bimmerforums.com in my browser or something?

No, I hear you -- that stuff comes out in me as well quite a bit. But I think I may have actually drove more aggressively in my previous, much slower car. Now that I've got something I love with more ***** under the hood to back it up I often tend to wait back a little longer, be patient, let people in more often, etc.

Then when I see an opening I downshift and blast it.

Not always, though, sometimes it's just as you said. The damn thing gets up to 80-90 so fast, and when it's there it's like nothing. Completely smooth sailing. My last car felt like it was going to shatter into a million pieces at those speeds.

Luckily no tickets yet with the new one. I oughta pick up a radar detector or something tho'.

i agree brotha...its EASY to drive like an a$$hole in this car..because it can handle it.

Ever notice how an aggressive driver in a Corolla is just a "crazy driver"...but an aggressive driver in a sports car is an a$$hole who thinks he owns the road?
hahaha

I have the same car but a 2009 (and also in MD) and I hope you have an aftermarket exhaust, because without one, there is no sweet sound of anything in the stock setup!

I've also been told my driving habits have become more aggressive . Only very once in a while though, generally I still try to be courteous to other drivers, especially old ones.

I think it's probably because we have the means to move at a quicker pace with better maneuverability than before and taking advantage of that

You're just not revving it enough . Sounds great when it gets up there. I'm not saying there isn't room for improvement or anything...

I just drive fast and aggressive cuz I'm always late for something, but that's why I love the G and not a IS250 AWD or a 328xi LOL

Here's a tip, turn on the fuel economy status on your NAV screen. It helps you drive "slower" cuz the yellow bar tells you how much gas you're wasting all the time LOL

Maybe you're right. Or maybe I'm just too used to aftermarket exhausts.
