Dealership Customer Service

I don't know about you guys, I think my dealer is trying hard for a 'service of the year' award, lol - When I first noticed I had the 2009 ECM whine, my dealer worked hard to try and hear it, and didn't fight me at all, and happily agreed to replace the item; after they replaced the ECM and fixed some squeaks and rattles, I had my car back at my house (90 miles away from the dealer), and I noticed the glovebox seemed a little off, and the dash 'cap' at the end of the dash, on the side, was not fitting correctly; I also had some shaky rotors which they had forgotten, the first time, to really check. And my car was throwing a code, presumably from the new ECM - I called them back and explained all this - being apparently very reasonable people, they said, we will send a driver with a car to your house free of charge and he will deliver a loaner and pick up your car and drive it to the dealer.

And so they did - and when it arrived the fixed the code, and then they ordered me a new glove box and the dash trim (free) and machined the rotor, apparently not a problem. Love these guys.

Bullard in Mobile. I've had much better luck with the them as a dealer than I've had with infiniti as a company (infiniti national customer service, that is). SO props to Bullard.

I haven't had any problems with my G but the Infiniti of Denver dealership is one of the most professional, top notch dealerships I've been to (all brands, not just Infiniti)

It's on I-65 service raod south, right next to the mall on the car sales strip. Their sister dealer is a jaguar franchise, so there's always cool stuff to look at on down for service.

Picked up the car today - they had fixed the light - as indicated by others it was a 1421 code, the cold crank relearn, and they had an ECM flash for it that worked like a charm. They ordered and recieved several new trim parts for the dash, put those in, but the tech was unsatisfied with his work - he apparantly wandered the lot looking at other examples and he said trim fit was sort of all over the place. He ordered (on backl order) a piece of bottom trim to the glove box, and will try that, and finally the door itself if need be. They also resurfaced my front brakes, and now my high-speed stops are as smooth as glass. They were going to send a driver back up to hattiesburg to get my car but I went back to them because I wanted to talk to them in person.

BTW - the comparison between the 2008 G35 and my 2009 G37 seemed night and day after I got my car back - my 37 rode better, had better handling, was quieter, the 3.7 engine sounded MUCH better than the 3.5, and also has a much nicer-sounding and louder exhaust. The car also pulls harder, and is faster - the 3.5 runs out of breath where the VVEL just keeps on pulling. I can also tell you the 7AT is also a much better transmission, having spent the week with the 5 AT. My leather was also nicer, and the seats were more comfortable.

Really enjoyed getting my car back. The 37 really is a much better, and dramatically different car despite what you may think. Inf. made a lot of subtle changes between the model numbers. Spending a week in the 35 really drove that point home to me.

Also, on the funny side, when I was oin the loading bay, moving my stuff out of the loaner, one of the service managers was talking to my about the M56, and said he jut couldn't believe they put that much HP into that car, that it was just ridiculous. I said, "What, you're kidding me, right?" And he siad "nope" and when on to talk about how that much power was overkill. I told him he was talking to the wrong guy, lol, that IMO it wasn't quite enough!! Needed more torque...
