Mods for 2010 G37 S Sedan
Quick question, I was looking though the vendors section and found a sweet deal on Hotchkis F/R sway bars. It's has "RWD only" listed but is there really a difference (other than size) between the S and xS?
Thanks and you are right, sweet deal.
I love my R2C, I love my Sway Bars, I love the Tanabe sound, hate the big ricer tips, but even from 25' away they don't look so coffee can...so they even work too...Overall, the whole Package works great. I reused my grounding kit...noticed nothing from it, but it looks cool...ha ha...and still have yet to do a reflash or anything, but that's about it. Car is pretty damn fast as is. :-)

What do you like about intake? Does it sound different? Can you hear it over the Tanabe exhaust?
How is the sway bar different from the OEM "S" bar? Any less body roll?
The tips are only too big up close...

The R2C sounds sick...period...looks great, and sounds sick...and yes I can hear it above the exhaust, which is just the mufflers, not a cat back, at almost all speeds.
I have my 05 G35 Coupe Rims and Tires on there...since I have the RWD Sport G37 Sedan, and my car, with the Sway Bars, almost handles as good as my Coupe does. The larger 19" Wheels help and the Sway Bars help big time too. I put Sway Bars on my Sierra Denali and it handles like a car now...factory pick ups never come with Rear Sway Bars...so huge difference. On the G's...yes, less body roll and no down side....
uprev is good, but all other tunes you did were also well known. If you weren't happy.. My question is what were you expecting from a base tune?
get all your mods on then get a tune, as you know. the tune is only really going to adjust your air fule ratios putting your wideband in perfect tune. might not feel the hp but your car will be running smoothly.

With the older Gs...there was a MASSIVE lag off the line...many mods were figured out to allow burn outs and quick starts....this is why the UD Crank Pulley was one of the last things I did...to help the car spool up. Outside of that...Yes like you said...Maximize ratios and optimize the power curve settings. No need for increased RPMs or Top Speed Limiters IMHO....and neither Tune I had...and the AAM Tune was done on their dyno after I drove down to MD....did that.....
Are there any hand held tuners that do Jack out there for the G37s?
Ok...so basically NO Hand Held out there worth the money...Well, that means I don't need to spend it. Ha ha.
BTW...if you did not see the thread...and you DON'T have a sport so you have the Comfy seats...I just had my Body Shop do the Front Seat Mod to remove the RIDONKULOUS metal bars out of the sport seats...and OMG what a difference...I love getting in and out of my car now...but the muscle memory of the pain and suffering is still there as my legs are still expecting it....ha ha. The air bladders still work, but man...so comfortable now.

HT has their dyno results... no reason to think they skewed anything. They have been around for far too long to risk doing that:

Pretty good torque increases for low end, which is what everyone seems to complain about.
That, and the 0-60 throttle restriction elimination, which in and of itself is very worthy.

Oh Jesus...now you have my "Interested...."
Yes, low end grunt and no throttle restriction....sounds nice....and NO loss of HP acros the board.....
So why are others saying they are losing HP up top?
Also, this was for a G37...and are they saying the car was putting out over 3 bills at the Rear Wheels???? I see in their tuning notes that factory HP is 303, but for us it's 328 or whatever....so is this applicable to the 2010s?
Are you considering this?
BASTARD!!!! Ha ha

actual member dynos have shown hyp prog top end curve to be lower than oem curve.
now I have to go find those dynos...
If you plan on future mods then get a custom tune after mods. If no mods are future play then get the hyp tech.
