Yeah, i just upgraded yesterday from an '07 G35S 5AT to a '10 G37xS. The engine power really by itself isn't noticeable, but the smoother torque curve and the 7AT are really much more refined than the 5AT. I haven't really opened her up yet, since there's alot of snow and slush all over the roads here right now, but the car definitely has a more mature feel than my '07. With all the pot holes and crappy winter roads around here though, I think next year, I'm going to go 17" with winter tires because the 18"s are just a little too harsh for the cracks, potholes, and ice ruts that are around the roads right now.

Dopey, when you decide to move to those 17's I have a set that are pristine. I have a few hundred miles on the wheels and A/S Goodyear RSA's from my '09 G37X. I moved to a different wheel/tire setup. I live in MI so it isn't that big a distance to conquer. PM me if you want to discuss further

I own a 2008 G35x and a 2009 G37xS and the steering on the 09 XS is MUCH lighter. Going back to the G35x it seems like the steering almost is non-power assisted! The XS does make the steering a lot sharper.

Thanks, I did not imagine there would be such a huge difference, makes the drive more enjoyable I think. Thats not to say the G35X was not a pleasure to drive, that beast was sweeeeeeet.

Congrats, beautiful looking car you got!

Before the G37x coupe we had an 07 G35x sedan... the G37x coupe feels much sportier and drives much nicer (IMO). Suspension feels much firmer, steering is better, etc. The 7AT is weird though... off the line, the G35x seemed to "jump" a little quicker, whereas with the 7AT G37x it seems a bit slower.... but then again I haven't really had a chance to push the G37x (just broke it in a few days ago). The 7AT does feel much smoother and refined around town.

Ah, my thread after picking up my G37xS just under 3 years ago. In the first pic my black G37 stands next to my white G35. I still have her, but sadly she will be gone by March. Infiniti has done a very good job with the Gs, the G35 was a looker when it came out in 07. I had an IS250 back the and could not stop looking at the Gs every time I saw one. I still remember the day on the turnpike when I was in the left lane, doing 70mph and a guy with his fresh G35 was behind me, he kept at a cool distance and his rolling 306hp felt so intimidating I just had to move out of the way. Needless to say as the car passed I just admired how good it looked in the rear view mirror and with its back ahead of me now how good it looked from behind too. Knowing that guy paid just as much as I did for my cramped IS250 awd was just rubbing salt into an open wound of jealousy

I did the right thing and bought my G35x and sold the IS250 after under 2 years. I have no desire to go back to that brand.

Fast forward about 5 years later and I have no regrets a out having been with the Infiniti family. It's a young brand and it shows the designers are passionate About their design. A study was done that showed Infiniti owners are the most passionate about their cars, I was one of them.

It's unfortunate I could not at least sample the new G, but the time has come for me to pick up another car, I want one by Xmas. I narrowed it down to the 335i and the S 4, over the past months I have driven these two. I was close to choosing the S4, but after seeing in person the Estoril blue m sport 335i, I fell in love. BMW can also add an extra 30 up and 30b/tq to it, it already does 0-60 in 4.8 sec (x drive) with the 300hp set up so this thing will be a beast. I will post my pics when she arrives but I still need to place the order which I am planning to do this weekend.

Nice to keep in touch w/ your old threads. We're on our 2nd G too but probably be a couple years til we're shopping for another car. Infiniti will definitely be on our shopping list but will cross shop a half dozen comparable cars when the time comes.
Enjoy your new 335, nice choice. Drove a 135i a while back and that little rocket was a blast to flip around, I know you'll have a good time in that one

Thanks. At least you are going to have the option of getting the new G. I think it's due out in a year or two. I have no doubt the next one will continue where this generation left off and maybe you will be that guy in my rear view mirror again

Most G owners appreciate the 335i, although I get the sense it's not reciprocated unless you've owned both, like you're about to do.

I'm sure it will suit you well.

The most level headed people are on this forum. In my search I have spent time on the audizine and bimmer forums. The audizine s4 crew is also down to earth. I also have a 2011 X5 35i and the E70 guys are pretty cool too. Some of the 3er guys can be snobby, but it's the minority.

I hope Infiniti takes a page from BMW and goes forced induction. I see the benefits in my X5, sure it's no x5 50i but the twin turbo is very powerful even in the 5000 lb x5. That's why I was willing to forgo the s4 although that one is said to be faster. The x drive 335i should be close though.

IDK about that. It has it's share of trolls and kiddies... but not nearly as much as the typical car forum. You'll also find the majority of people here are leasing their car.

E90 335 was OK, F30 335 not so much. Funny how BMW and Lexus are going opposite direction from what they were used to be.
