Hey, the car IS a Nissan hence the name Nissan 370GT.
With that you could make the case that the Lexus IS350 should be remodeled with all of Toyota's looks and designs...I know they're the same company (and yes that in Japan it's the Nissan GT) but I still think that Infiniti should have its own distinctive design (which as of now it DOES, I just dont want to see that go away)
I almost waited for the 2010 because the new front facia included separate fog lights. I agree with the opinions that the upgrade looks more agressive, but I think it makes the car look too much like a Nissan. When I first saw it I immediately thought Maxima/Altima.
Anyone else agree or is just me?
I agree. I thought maxima/altima....i do like the subtle change to the rear valence...the front grille is nice as well...but the car does give me too much NISSAN feel.

And that is why Lexus continues to be the better brand when it comes to sales.....

I didn't even notice a change to the rear valence, I'll have to take a look at that.
Looks like I will have to lean toward the Lexus GS as my future car if the Infinitis start to resemble Nissans... Nissan has a negative connotation here -- too many Hispanics ruin the look... No offense to anyone who is Hispanic btw.

Why does it automatically have to be the Hispanics who get blamed for making the look of a car too "ricey"? I'm from Nigeria and took offense to that! At least Infiniti copied their own, Nissan, instead of trying to copy any other brand...

The newest iterration of Altima/ Maxima took styling vues from Infiniti IMHO... The ront bumper of the Altima is definitely influenced by the G Coupes sport bumper.
So what if the G37 looks like a Nissan? Are you guys this insecure to worry about such a petty thing?
I didn't buy the G for the badge, I bought it for the driving experience.
If the G was sold as the Nissan Skyline in the US, I would still have bought it over any Lexus model.

Get over it.
I don't think anyone is so insecure that they are questioning their purchase. I'm sure there are people that only bought the G b/c of the badge, but I would say most here have it for the same reason as you.
That being said, it IS an Infiniti and NOT a Nissan. So simply discussing how the latter is (possibly) bleeding over onto the Infiniti design is nothing to get worked up over.
