With the weather being cooler, I have been driving back and forth to work with the climate control turned off. Windows down when air is needed.
In the normal course of driving for me it is about 4.5 miles one way, with frequent stops, no highway. This is all in town driving, but not bumper to bumper stop n go. I was managing right around 18.8 to 19 mpg, and with the climate controls off went over 20.4 mpg. These numbers have been verified by fueling at the same location, and doing manual measurements rather than relying solely on the computer. The computer has shown to be slightly lower on mileage by a few tenths, but is within reason.
Considering the available power and weight of the car this seems to be very reasonable mileage especially when comparing to other v6 powered sedans of equal size. Maybe they also get better than advertised mpg, I don't know.

Still in the break-in period with our G37xS sedan. Averaging 16.7 MPG for all urban driving for the first 800 miles. I certainly hope this improves as the rings seat and bearings run in on the VQ37VHR.
