I have seen a few Sandstone 08 G35 sedans in my neck of the woods, and IMO it's a color that needs to go - it makes the G look awful - it's beige is what it is. The chrome just sort fo blends in, and so does the sculpting of the lines of the car. It (again IMO) makes the car look yucky and little and indistinct and not pretty. I have a hard time understanding why one would get the G in that color. But beauty is in the eye and so on......

Revised interior color schemes. Is that just the Shodo-finish aluminum trim and Maple interior accents?

LA Auto Show

Strange but just viewed the LA Auto Show website and both Nissan and
Infiniti are not listed as exhibitors. Hope this is just an omission.

Nissan announced either late last year that they were reducing the number of auto shows they were attending due to the economic conditions. Here is a link.

Rosewood gone?

In Sandman's post #27

• Maple interior accents on the center console, instrument panel, and doors replace the previous African Rosewood trim.

I read that as no more rosewood option for the interior, now it's maple.

Anyone know how the maple looks? I'm waiting until my dealer knows pricing to start the process of buying a 2010 G37x

The EX and FX both use maple, it looks really nice.

You can see it on the Infiniti website and tons of other pics out there.

Not trying to be agrumentative, but I'm not sure that makes sense.

A DAC, is a digital to analog converter D A C, it takes the Digitial in CD's, MP'3s, etc...and coverts it to Analog..which is what speakers are.

So, the end singnal has to end up as analog...its what travels through speaker wires to the speakers. That said, what does the reviesed stereo use? I certainly has some type of DAC in there. It might be that the 24bit burr brown was just costing them a lot for no benefit.

The DAC is just one so many parts of a system. My Altima SE-R certainly didn't have one in it's bose system, but you know what...that system sounded great!

I'm guess cost savings. The AFS system is bundled into the tech package so it's not an individual option. Same thing with the power lumbar support. That's a standard feature on the car and now it'll be a manual control. It seems silly but to me those little features are what seperate a luxury car from other cars.

Speaking of colors, does anyone have any pics of an '08 or '09 sedan with lakeshore blue exterior? I'm trying to decide between lakeshore or blue slate (both would have med. tint on the windows).

Nope. The car cannot display any video output while it's moving and I've never seen any 3rd party nav system with a video out. I don't think you can output whatever is on the screen of an iPod or iPhone anyway. It can only do it when it's in media player mode.

Agreed.

I do feel better knowing that they aren't de-engineering the car. They are adding advanced climate (option) and the nav system seems like a nice updgrade. These are components that the user intacts with all the time. My lumbar support is set and I never touch it again.

And they are adding standard equipment like all four auto/up down windows....so maybe they are kepping the bottom line the same and spreading some of it around.

rear sonar sensors are a big factor to those typical older clients that don't know how to park and just rely on the beeping sound.
