Trust me, its not just the older clients who don't know how to park that need audible park assist. Try watching any girl aged 16-75 backing up their 5000lb SUV while talking on cell phone and putting on makeup. Not to be biased, but 2 different someones fitting this description have backed up into my car in parking lot. idiots.

As for the "de-engineering", I will say that auto companies are trying to remove unnecessary options to save money and weight. Lumber support is not a big deal to me, but power up/down rear windows, auto headlights and power tilt/telescope steering wheel (&column) are must haves on $40k near-luxury vehicle.

Lets just hope they don't price themselves out of the market gap they hold onto now.

I still wish they would offer a wood trim interior with the Sport 6MT. I know not everyone agrees with me, but I enjoy the warm feel of a wood-and-leather interior as well as a third pedal. My current S4 has this, and you can get it in the new S4 and all of BMW's sport sedans as an option. Not sure why Infiniti doesn't offer it at least as an option.

Stock fog lights are usually so pathetic that it really doesn't matter where they are located. I'd rather have them where they are now so I don't have to replace an expensive lens (or probably the whole unit) when the fog light takes the inevitable hit. Also, the extra surface detail in the new front fascia will provide a challenge to 3M installers. My 09 was relatively easy to cover completely.

this waiting game sure makes it hard on me. I'm hoping to buy the 2010 G37x, but with no pictures, no pricing, and no firm date on when any of that will come out sure makes it difficult not to pull the trigger on another car.

Secrecy is one thing, but this is a little out in the deep end.

I'm glad that I have my 08 with certain features- auto headlamps, afs, etc... Yes, the options that they are putting in the 2010's are nice, but it seems like those features are things a lux car should have. Oh well- I'll have my 08 until the redesign of the coupe, so I don't have to worry.

It looks like Infiniti isn't showing the new G at the China Auto Show unfortunately. They announced the G25 Sedan, G25 Coupe, and E25 Crossover but no pics:

The 2.5 liter V6 engine sounds really impressive though. 94 HP per liter!

And it can get almost 38 MPG with the 5-speed automatic.

Which is crazy good. I'd imagine the 7-speed would be even better.

So, the end singnal has to end up as analog...its what travels through speaker wires to the speakers. That said, what does the reviesed stereo use? I certainly has some type of DAC in there. It might be that the 24bit burr brown was just costing them a lot for no benefit.

The DAC is just one so many parts of a system. My Altima SE-R certainly didn't have one in it's bose system, but you know what...that system sounded great!
No, you're right, I was thinking ADC for some reason.

Thx, great find. To be honest I was considering hanging on to my 08 G35x but all the waiting and teasers out there, and just the thought of a refined interior (including the updated Nav, rear sensors, not that I need them since Nav comes with rear camera, auto wipers etc) has changed my mind. Goes to show marketing really works

The waiting just sucks... this is like being 9 years old and it's December 23rd. It's unbearable.
