New G37 owner, hey everyone!
Hey folks,
I returned my leased '06 G35 Sedan and picked up an '09 G37 Sedan today. We have an '08 G35 Sedan as well so I am really looking forward to the performance increase the 3.7 liter engine has to offer. Since 2005, I have been primarily posting on G35Driver.com but I look forward to getting to know all of you over here as well!

Congratulations on your new car and you made a great choice on color.
I would be curious to hear your thoughts on the performance difference (if any) between your 08 G35 5AT and your 09 G37 7AT.

Hey, thanks

Since our '08 G35 Sedan has the Premium/Performance Tire & Wheel Package, I decided to go with a Base. Honestly, it has everything I need. I was very close to not getting another Infiniti since their lease programs aren't as attractive compared to before. In terms of mods, she may get a set of new shoes sometime very soon

It's going to take some time getting used to
. My '06 was a Diamond Graphite and our current '08 is a Blue Slate. A little wind here and there and it already needs a wash
! Can't compalin though, black on black really does look good.
Hey, appreciate the warm welcome. You guys sounds like a great group of people. It is an honor to be here. Thanks

Thanks! Since the car only had 4.6 miles on it when I got it, I haven't had the chance to give it a good 'ole push yet. As much as I want to believe that these engines are already broken in, I think it's better to be safe than sorry. I get up to 4,000 rev's here and there and the car feels great. The '09 G37 seems to run a lot smoother than the '08 G35. The 7AT has a lot to do with this. I think the smoother and more refined ride is due to the 7AT. Unlike the '08 G35, it doesn't seem like it wants to jump ahead of the game when you give it some slight throttle. At first, it felt like the '08 G35 Sedan made more power but I know this is not true. As someone on Driver stated, when comparing dynos between the two, timing changes as well as the curves between the two cars are almost identical. However, the 37's curve is slightly higher
