Couple newbie questions and referral
A few questions from a new owner...
1) Does anyone have a rattling sound from the engine area for the first 30 seconds or so on a cold start? After this the engine sounds completely normal and great. Car is 1 week old.
2) As far as adding music to the music box...Can I only use purchased CDs? I dont really use CDs anymore. Can I burn a CD of mp3s as data and use that? Does the drive read DVDs? Any ideas on how to transfer a large number of mp3s easily? We clearly can't transfer from an ipod.
3) Anyone want to join up for the referral bonus? PM me
4) Lastly, what is the final word on breaking in the car? I know that infiniti says 600 miles. I can't lie, I may have driven the car a little hard the first couple days before I knew I had to break in the engine. But since then I've kept it under 60mpg and under 4k rpm, no cruise control. How long do I have to keep this up for? And the final word on when and what oil to change with. I can't wait to let this car loose!
Got the venture shield put on straight from the dealer and put a tint on it...looks awesome.

Hello and welcome to the boards. First off alot of these questions can be found using the search feature. Especially the ones on the music box and breakin, these have been discussed numerous times. But answer a few of your questions in short:
1. Can you be more specific to where the sound is comming from? What is the sound like, is it metallic like or something else? It could just be that the car runs at higher RPMs while warming up and is making something rattle.
2. I dont use the music box really, but I'm pretty sure you can burn cd's and even mp3 cds will work too. Search around or look in the manual and you will find a definitive answer.

4 the final word is there is not one. Everyone has an opinion on this. Some people say drive it like ya stole it right off the lot, others baby it up to 1200 miles before getting on it. Search again and there are hundreds of topics about everyones break in theories.
