Start your car while going 160 mph and in 5th gear.

Problem solved

KP should be able to make something I'm sure.

That is a very neat feature! I have never heard of that before. I'm going to YouTube that later.

Here’s a picture of the IS dash. Note the tach ring is on red. There’s no blue; so that ring on the speedometer is just reflected dash lighting.

LOL! My Maxima does this(the 2009 one of course). I still, however, prefer the gauges of the G.

Honestly...what point does it serve other than being "cool"?

Sometimes features are left out not only for cost saving, but to differentiate between said car (G) and the next level up (M). Maybe the Dial Dance is an example of this.

The point should be obvious. It warns the driver when he/she, let’s say, is around ten miles above the speed limit (yellow) and warns them again when they’re in ticket country (red). It’s actually quite easy to notice the rings as they appear rather than always glancing at the numbers.

For the tach, it certainly gives an instant indication when red line is being approached. In our car I’ve got the yellow set to 5K and the red at 6K.

Trust me, the day they add them to future G37’s drivers will use them and appreciate the enhancement.

Wow, cool feature, I want it.

I wonder how much it'll cost to do a 2010 instrument gauge cluster conversion on the 08 G37.

I meant what is the point of the tach sweep when starting the car...other than being "cool"? I guess people like gimicks.

It only works with a single "speed limit" though, which in my mind is pointless. My daily commute has speed limits of 35, 40, 45, 55, and 65. This would only be useful for the highest I guess, and then only for a short time. Better to just pay attention to the speed limit and the speed I am driving.
