to buy or not to buy?

Hi, First post, gota say this site has been really helpful. I have been looking for a G37 journey with the premium package for a while now but still have not decided to pull the trigger yet. I have been quoted $32,405 with the premium+splash+glass senor+cargo net+destination fees. This is without the $2500 discount if paying cash. So that will be around $29905+TTL. I did some research and found out that last year around october-december time, all combined incentives was $4000. Do you guys think infinti will come out with some better incentives after this $2500 manufacture to dealer expire on 9/30/09? This is from nor-cal area. Or do you think they will probably cut everything out or be the same? Of course, no one really knows other than Nissan/Infinti but just want to know what you guys think. Thank you

Last year they were trying to clear out an old model that no one wanted in an economy that was worse than it is now. So, no, I don't think you will see deals as good as last year. That sounds like a great deal already....

I bought my sedan near the end of July. Submitted an online request through Edmunds and after e-mailing back and forth the best quote I got was $200 under invoice using 0% financing or $2,700 under invocie with regular financing or paying cash. All before TTL of course. I don't feel like looking up the invoice for the car you described to check, but it sounds like that's about what you're getting.

I figured if the deals did get better, they wouldn't be by much, and I'd rather get exactly the car I wanted now instead of not having it for a few months and picking from limited inventory when they're clearing the last of the 09s off the lot.

Read the thread about the changes for 2010 to make sure that nothing on there would make you kick yourself for not waiting for. There was nothing on there that made me hesitate though.

Wow, I would jump on it for that price.

The best I can get in my area is $33,100 for a Journey Premium, splash guards and rear spoiler. Color selections on 09s are getting a bit thin now too.

Dealer incentives / cash plus ~$400. off invoice (~$2,900.) is about the best I've seen for a cash sale. (From about mid June to mid July.)
