This may have been posted before but do you have to listen to the whole CD in order to rip it to the hard drive.

No you don't.

You can find this out yourself when you pop a CD in and rip it.

So wait, even with the nav system it will trucnate the songs if they exceed a certain length? WTF?
I have demo without nav.....put in 6 common cds. only one displays the songs (new springsteen cd). I am hoping that it is retrieving the songs titles from the cd itself and not the Gracenote DB it is supposed to hook up to when you rip the songs.

I assumed that it rips the ARTIST, FULL SONG TITLE, ALBUM NAME, CATEGORY, YEAR.
Basic tags.

Yep after 2 days.....XM sound quality sucks.....easy test flip between XM to FM (better) to CD (excellent) What i expected.
Cant wait to test ripped cd and CF flash quality.
