What are my options? Slight dash seperation.

So, coming back from eating tonight my friend asked my what is up with a slight dash separation above the dash dim/bright buttons. I've never noticed it before...but sure enough...there is separation. I then went back to some pictures that I took of the car when I first bought it...and sure enough...it was there then. I've had this car for 6 months...and the location of the separation is covered from my line of sight by the steering wheel. However, it is now bugging the hell out of me.

Do you think Infiniti will fix this? This picture of the entire cabin is one that I took when I first bought the car (in Jan) and the 2nd picture was taken today.

I know a few people have complained about this and mine is starting to do it too. I am taking my car in on Thursday for that and a few other things.

So, do you think it would be covered?

Yeah and the question is what the car will be like after repairs for a problem such as this.

Possibly undrivable. I may just sell it.

I have the same issue with mine; I read on another forum that some Infiniti dealers ended up replacing the whole gauge cluster housing in order to fix it. Not sure if I want to go through that.

Update:

Well, I took it in Monday for the dash and my steering wheel was a few degrees off center. They order a replacement part (dash housing?)...kept the car over night and I picked it up Tuesday afternoon. Everything looks great and I haven't seen any negatives about going through the process.

The G35 loaner they gave me also had a slight dash separation (above the light dim and dash computer buttons)...on both sides. Hope that will not be a sign of things to come.

Yeah they ordered a whole new cover for mine too. Now I just have to take my car back to get it replaced. Totally covered.

Mine is worse than that. I did not even demand they fix it. I just mentioned it and asked if there was anything that could be done and they said they would just replace it.
