Ok, how bad are these rattles and squeaks
You should be able to test drive the actual car you are going to buy, so do exactly that. Take it out and see if anything annoys you.
And the performance, price and AWD are AWESOME!
I know many people with Bimmers, Audi's and MBs, and the main complaint is the amount of time these german cars are in the shop for one thing or another. Not saying that they're not great cars, but there's a tradeoff. If Lexus had a comparable AWD model I would have definitely considered it, but the IS250 is nowhere near the performance and amenities of the Gx.
C'mon Max, don't give him such a hard time.
"I agree with PeterUbers -- That darn infiniti dealership never fixed any of my rattles or squeaks. For a $40k car, you shouldn't have to deal with these rattle issues. Go with a Benz, Bimmer or something else."
Earth0 is a great member on the G35driver side...

So far no squeaks/rattles in mine either, and I've always been very picky about finding the source of noise and fixing it myself. Having said that, there will always be the possibility of panels rubbing but when you drive this car you should find that it feels and sounds very solid. As you said, the value is there, plus Infiniti service is great.

For a family car, I'd like a bit more room, more power, auto, AWD... but no rattles.
I also have engine noise during start-up too!
