Thanks everyone, I will try to think of more original angles. For the rpm shot just lean any camera on the steering wheel and set the shutter speed to something slow. There is so much light from the dash, its pretty easy to get an RPM shot clearer than that one. To be honest I have seen someone else do it before in some magazine or something.
