2010 G37x Coupe Exhaust Suggestions
Hi all. Thanks for looking.
I've got a 2010 G37x Coupe. The cats went bad a while back and we put a set of Berk resonated test pipes in. The exhaust sounded very good.
Now, the muffler is coming apart inside and rattling. We originally picked up a Z1 Motorsports Touring exhaust for it.
The fit and finish of the exhaust was great. The problem showed itself when we drove the car. The drone was unbearable. It was a crushing bass drone in the cabin.
At idle, it sounded great. But, we couldn't drive the car comfortably.
I ended up putting the stock cat back exhaust back on the car but kept the Z1 Motorsports Y-pipe on there.
The current configuration is Berk resonated test pipes to the Z1 Y-pipe to the factory resonator mid pipe and factory muffler.
I could just get a new factory muffler. But, there's no fun in that,
I'm interested in the Stillen cat back exhaust system. It looks like I can retain the Z1 Y-pipe and use the Stillen mid pipes and mufflers.
But, what will it sound like with the Berk test pipes?
Is anyone running this exhaust that way?? Any reviews on the sound?
Thanks for any input!!!

The only way these cars sound good IMHO, is with full cat backs and Helmholtz style resonators.
Stock Y and mid pipes DRONE.
And the H-type resonators are all tuned for full catbacks.
